Amazon Fire Stick Setup Instructions

Follow the step by step instructions to set up your Amazon Fire Stick for the first time. 

1. Amazon fire stick box contains:
2. Amazon fire TV stick remote 
3. Alexa voice remote
4. Power adapter
5. USB power cord
6. 2 AAA batteries
7. HDMI extender

You just need: HD TV and high speed internet 

1.To Get Started:

• Take out your Amazon Fire Stick Device and plug one end of the USB power cord to the micro-USB port of your amazon Fire Stick and plug the other end of the power cord to the Power Adapter.
• Connect the Power Adapter to a power source and also, plug the Amazon Fire Stick to any HDMI port on your HD TV or you can also use a HDMI extender if you don’t want to plug the fire stick directly into the screen.
• Turn your TV on and open the same/ corresponding channel that the TV Stick is plugged into (i.e. HDMI1, HDMI3). A loading screen will appear with the "Fire TV Stick" logo.
• Now you should setup your Fire Stick remote:
• o Insert the included two AAA batteries into the remote which will then automatically pair up with the Amazon Fire Stick. 
• o However, if your remote is unable to pair automatically, you can try to press and hold the Home button on your remote for about 10 seconds which will send your Amazon Fire Stick to the Discovery Mode and the pairing will be completed.
• After pairing the remote and the fire stick, you must press the Play or Pause button to start with the set-up process
• Select your preferred language using the remote.

2.Connect Amazon Fire Stick to Internet:

• Your amazon Fire Stick scans for the available Wi-Fi networks that are within the range. You can select your Wi-Fi network from the given list of networks, and enter your SSID and password to connect to the Internet connection. 

3.Register Fire Stick with an Amazon Account

• You must follow the onscreen instructions to register your Amzon fire TV stick to your Amazon account. In case you have ordered your fire stick from amazon, it would be pre – registered to your amazon account.  
• Wait for few seconds until your fire stick gets registered.
• On completion of the registration of your Fire stick, you will be asked to save your Wi-Fi password to your Amazon account.
• In case you wish to enable Parental Controls on your Amazon FireStick, you must click on Enable Parental Controls option on the next screen. While doing this, you will be asked to set up a PIN on the next window. 
• You will always need to enter the PIN for most of the activities on Amazon FireStick.
